Since I’m a sort of active Facebooker and a newcomer on the  blogging scene, it is sometimes difficult to maintain both and do things double. I have to say that I love doing the interactive communication and displaying recent work.

It was mentioned on my Facebook that two of my photo’s were nominated in the annual Bridesphoto Award issued by the Bride and Bridegroom (Bruid en Bruidegom) in the Netherlands.

The voting system this year is different. There are 5 different categories and in each category there will be a public winner and a winner chosen by colleagues in the professional wedding photography branch. At the Professional Imaging Fair in Nieuwegein in the beginning of March the professional photographers will also have the opportunity to bring out their vote. Last year we also had two nominated photo’s of which the ‘Bride in the Spotlight’ won. The great thing about this year is that 5 of the group that went to Paris for the Huy Nguyen workshop had a nominated photo. Big news for us as a group.

The bride at the hairdresser was nominated in the ‘free (Vrije) category’.

The bridegroom seeing his bride for the first time on the wedding day was nominated in the ‘Bridegroom in the picture (Bruidegom in beeld) category.
